Is liposuction the same as lipodissolve?

No they are different. Removal of unwanted fat in the face and body is performed by liposuction. One of the most common procedures performed in plastic surgery, liposuction requires tumescent local anesthesia or even general anesthesia. This is real surgery and should be performed in a state accredited outpatient facility.
Removal of fat non-surgically with injection lipolysis or lipodissolve is currently under clinical investigation in the USA. This is a chemical injected into the subcutaneous fat that melts or breaks down the fat into liquid, which eventually is absorbed naturally by the body. The fat is not removed by liposuction. Instead it takes longer to achieve the final result without surgery.
